ELIGIBILITY. The Microsoft WPC 2008 Windows Essential Server Solution Challenge Summit (“Challenge”) is open to any registered attendee of the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference 2008 (“Event”). GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES, INCLUDING EMPLOYEES OF PUBLIC EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS, ARE NOT ELGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS CHALLENGE. Employees of Microsoft and any person working directly on this Challenge, exhibitors, sponsors of the Event, their support personnel and the respective affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies and the immediate families of each (parent, sibling, spouse, child, or household member) are not eligible.
START AND END DATES. This challenge starts on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at 12:00pm CT and ends on Thursday, July 10, 2008 at 4:00pm CT (“Promotion Period”)
HOW TO PARTICIPATE AND WIN. This Challenge consists of an Instant Win Game, a Sweepstakes, and an Incentive Offer, as more fully described below.
Instant Win Game: To participate, you must obtain and wear a ”Multiply Your Winning Power” flashing pin that you can receive from the Windows Essential Server Solutions booth # 546 no later than Thursday, July 10, 3:00pm CT. Approximately every hour during each day of the event, a member of the Windows Server team will randomly select a person they see wearing a Multiply Your Winning Power” flashing pin. Those selected will receive a $25 Amazon.com Gift Certificate. A total of 50 winners will be selected. Limit one (1) pin per person overall and limit one (1) prize per person. Please visit Windows Essential Server Solutions booth #546 if you lose your pin.

The odds of winning depend on the number of entries received. Ten (10) names will be drawn at approximately 7:00pm CT on Wednesday July 9, 2008 at the Windows Essential Server Solutions Partner Theater. Winners will be selected instantly, must be present at the time of drawing to win and must be displaying their “Multiply Your Winning Power” flashing pin.
Incentive Offer: The first 1,450 attendees that enter the Sweepstakes as described above will receive a customizable tote bag (ARV $7.66 USD) when they submit their quiz completion code to the Windows Essential Server Solutions booth #546 Limit one (1) tote bag per person. Offer good until the close of the Promotion Period, while supplies last.
Taxes on the prize, if any, are the sole responsibility of the winner. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited by law. No substitution, transfer, or assignment of prize permitted, except that Microsoft reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in the event the offered prize is unavailable. Prize winners may be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability Release or W-8 BEN form within 10 days of notification. If a selected winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim a prize or fails to return the Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability Release or W-8 BEN form, the selected winner will forfeit their prize and an alternate winner will be selected. In the event of a dispute all decisions of Microsoft are final. By entering, participants release and hold harmless Microsoft, their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability or injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with this sweepstakes or the use of any prize won. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for Microsoft to use winner's names and likenesses for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation unless prohibited by law. By entering this contest, you signify your acceptance of the official rules.
